PARTY

Posted by redjokerx - April 17th, 2010

sooooo much fun!! i love my friends! we stayed up until 6,

i got my report card, i got A's and B's, but a C in spanish, cause im having trouble with the language
but my stupid mother yells at me saying "you're in honors, you're a GT student, you can do better than a B in english, or a C in spanish" yeah, maybe if i stop talking to people completely!

i guess it sorta balances out, awesome party, jackass mother

Comments

no, apparently the conversation wasn't over when i went downstairs
it doesn't balance out. not at all

glad you had fun sweetie

i sorry you had to hear my mom yelling last night :/
it was fun, and thanks for getting me to not, ahem, you know :D

You really should act more responsible.

Be..."Akamai" okay?

yeah, i dont usually stay up as late as that, it was her birthday, so we had a party :D
ill try my best to be more responsible! ^_^

School is still important, and from her experience, she "KNOWS" your not doing your best.

When I got in college, I was all like....YES time for fun.

But then I realized that fun isn't all that's cracked up to be if your not skilled in certain subjects.

For example...MATH is something you practically have to know INSIDE and OUT.

And it's my weakest subject and I gotta have those levels in Calculus if I'm gonna finish my degree.

But since I didn't put more effort in highschool, college is just harder than it's suppose to be.

There will always be time for fun.

But never at the expense of your grades.

Play after finals, during vacations, and occasionally on weekends or just for the end of the month or every 2 weeks.

Cause Man...Education is one of those things you shouldn't put off.

I don't mean to sound nit picky, but you know you can do better.

And it's important to never be complacent.

You have to keep on studying and learning even when your old and stuff.

Cause people who tend to think they know everything...FALL flatter on the ground, or just look like guys with their heads up their ass.

Note the analogy.

Be a methodical optimistic.

And never be complacent.

wow you give good advice! did you ever think about doing this to get paid?

although i am trying my hardest, a new language is hard for me, and i pay attention in class and everything, nothing seems to stick XD the first year of high school is the hardest, so ive been told, so maybe if i dont pile on the classes next year, i might have a better chance of doing well in the ones i DO sign up for!

math is really hard, i was better at algebra than geometry, so im better at "solving for x" so i got an A last year, and have a B this year. which i think is still good, because it's still above average :D

my mother raised honors kids and gt kids, but if i try my best, and it's not as good as someone else, that's still ok right? i dont wanna feel like im doing bad, but i dont wanna get in trouble for not being in the "top" (which is the super smart people, like most of my friends ^_^) :P

Look

It ain't a competition nor a reason to put yourself down.

You do what you can to try to understand that's all.

But high school is an opportunity to try your best so that college becomes a breeze once you get there.

You have the counselors, the tutors, the teachers, etc.

And you can actually have more free time than you think because your still young.

Once you become an adult, you don't have as much time for anything!

And those who do...often are not doing so well in school or actually know their stuff in college.

Take advantage of these 4 years, because what you apply now is what makes who you are in college.

If you don't understand, just seek some help from the teachers or a tutor or your smart friends.

You can learn with enough determination.

Just remember...

Methodical Optimism.

"I can do this! I just have to know how."

optimistic, i can do that! ^_^

maybe ill be able to figure out what ill be doing for the rest of my life during those 4 years! XD

also why im lucky to having such smart friends, because then they're patient and explain things in a way i can understand, instead of the "this is how it is" way! :D

thanks for your help, because ive been pretty pessimistic lately, but things seem to be moving in my favor now! ^_^ (overuse of that smiley is also yay)

Also...I hate to say it, but Summer School to focus primarily on the CORE subjects may sound nerdy, but will make everything SO much easier the following years.

The core subjects are...

Mathematics
Science
English and Writing

my brother and step sister went to summer school, i really wish to say there was anything "school" related to it, other than the building they were in, but they pretty much sat there for around 4 hours...

wherever you are rocks, because having an opportunity to learn or to reiterate what you've been taught during the other 180 days in school is something awesome!

our english class includes writing, and our other core is social studies :D
speaking of which, im taking sociology and psychology next year!! im so excited!

Yes, uhmmm summer is getting pretty close, good thing all my A's are locked in, with no trace of a c.....maybe science due to lazyness...plus i'm gonna be I.B.
next year to have that stuff on my diploma, but good luck to you.
I offer myself as a good comparison, your doing better than me!

I.B? and only 1 month of schooooool leeeeeft!! :D

True scholarship lies not within the school but he individual student.

Abraham Lincoln self-taught himself law and justice by simply reading a book from the library.

You can do the same with any subject your interested. And because of the internet, gaining access to quick information is simple and easy.

Good Luck, my vibes are telling me you're going to be just fine.

Just as long as you stay methodical, calm, and optimistic.

Possible Career Choices

Socialist
Teacher
Anchor Woman
Musician
Cancer Researcher
Physical Therapist
Horticulturist

All of which only requires something that most students take for granted because they don't know the potential they can have if they just simply APPLY themselves...

But I feel you can do REALLY well if you apply just a "little" more.

Good Luck - This is my last message.

ill be sure to do my best! maybe one day ill be someone important! :D
