you are not my master
master lives far away
he does not speak to me
but i know he's there

master is kind, but can be cruel
you, you are cruel to me forever
i will do as you say, but you are not my master

as long as i can remember, you've played and pretended
i play along, but i will never obey
because my master isn't here
and you are not my master

there are some days i want my master to take me
i want to leave this lie
i want to make it all stop
and run away with my master
but no one thinks he will come

i know that some day, in many years
i will see my master
he will welcome me home with arms open to the sky
i will never have to live in fear
i will never have to tell more lies
because he will always be my master
