i think this is the last page. (is short, i know)
hope you enjoy!
and if any artist people would want to make the graphic i drew at the end of this, it's basically... read it and then ill tell you, cause its a SPOILER!!!
now you can enjoy!
Leo bent down to kiss her hand, and Scarlet almost fainted. He seemed to be the perfect man. And yet, her mind flagged him as a danger, and that she needed to leave him.
As if he read her thought of leaving, he asked sweetly "Would you like to join me in a duet? I'll play your favorite song."
She could not help it, she so longed for someone to play with. They slide their bows across the strings and sparks of music came out. The fire burned, and the music gained speed and volume. She was dancing with Leo, but somehow the music still played. Scarlet didn't have time to wonder how, she was enchanted by the graceful way he played and how he could dance without a single mistake.
As suddenly as it began, it had already ended. Scarlet couldn't help be a bit sad, because she knew he could not possible enjoyed playing with her.
"You play beautifully," he whispered. Scarlet frowned,
"but no one ever listens."
"I'll listen. Spin me a tale of love, sorrow, and a murder under the moon."
Scarlet couldn't resist. She finally had someone to play for. So she let the music flow once more from her small violin. Sorrow and love are emotions that she had been portraying in song for years, but murder was something unfamiliar. She wanted to please him, so she tried her hardest, but nothing could sound like murder.
Before she knew it, Leo was playing along, knowing every note for a song unwritten. They were dancing again, and she tried to stop to ask him what was happening to her, but she couldn't. Scarlet's arms were not hers any longer. They were dancing on the pond, but the water didn't move, nor did they get wet.
"Don't stop," he whispered. "You play so wonderfully, i must hear more."
So she did. Scarlet played till she could hear nothing more than the music. Even her own heartbeat dissapeared. She wanted to be anywhere but here.
"Miss Scarlet, don't leave! Play forever! The moon will shed your tears, your arms will tire, but it shall never stop! The music never stops. Your arms will burn along with the rest of you, but it shall NEVER stop! You will be with me forever."
and they were plunged into the pond. Deeper and deeper they fell, but the music continued, and she knew Leo was right.
Scarlet shed one more tear, and that's all she could do.
After dark, when all you can hear is the river and your own heart, that is when she plays. The soulfull sound of Scarlet's oak violin, but only if you listen.
THAT"S THE END!!!
so the art thingy i was talking about was basically a rock by a pond at night, full moon, rock is engraved with the word "listen" and it has like tear stains (the colour that a rock turns when you put a drop of water on it, only a but bluer so it looks like a tear stain) and it's apparent that it's a place that ends there, like it's surrounded by trees. im an okay artist, and i would scan it to show you guys, but i have no scanner, nor program to make it again on the computer.
if you wanna make ur version of it (please do!!) than show me cause i wanna see what bad description+good artist equals.
hope you liked it!!

well then, a very good short story. Leonardo seemed a little obsessive at the end, but thats ok.
i would draw your picture but i can't draw for my life.
very good work, almost as good as your poetry.

thanks! yeah, he gets a bit...weird at the end, but he knows he's got her, so he can now feel free to say whatever the hell (get it?!) he wants. i kinda said "screw editing ahead of time, ill do it when i post it!" so it could have turned out better. ill retype it in a week or two, and ill edit as i go along. it seems to work that way! ^_^
i should also find another cute smile, i feel a trend with this one...
