well, it's an amazing book, and with what it's about, he got it head on.

although it seems different when the girl in this book explains it, i cant really explain it, but it's still an awesome book, (you should read it anyways! :D)
What's the actual plot of the novel? Plot is what really grabs me and pulls me in.
its basically the story of a girl, but she's not there anymore. she recorded 13 reasons why she killed herself, and the tapes are being passed around the town to the people who made her feel such horror in her life, that she ended it. the boy who has the tapes now, doesn't even know why they were passed to him, he was in love with this girl!
it's seriously one of the best books ive ever read

That does seem rather interesting... I'll probably check it out, but at the same time hate the character the entire time.
Sorry, I'm rather biased against suicides cause I find it to be one of the most selfish acts one can commit. I've seen the effects on those around the suicide. It's brutal, and can send them into a spiral of confusion and depression.
same here (this girl's life was pretty messed up though!) still no excuse for suicide! i think that when your about to do it, your thinking more about how it'll be a solution to YOUR problems, not the problems the action causes, because im sure that if someone thinks hard enough, there's always SOMEONE who'll be affected, not "no one will care"
